Medicinal Herbs recommended in ayurveda for Cancer Remission

Fagonia cretica (Leaf : Flower : Stem)

Fagonia Cretica - As per illness, severity / stage of Carcinoma, varied mixing ratios with regards Leaf : Flower : Stem are used. The prime action of Organic Fagonia cretica shall be to initiate cell cycle arrest on the energy center of cancer DNA and thus enable remission in metastatic tendencies. Fagonia cretica induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis via p53-dependent and independent mechanisms, with activation of the DNA damage response.

The action is initiated within 24-72 hours of intake and the lesser number of cancer cells, medicine are to enable into remission - sooner are the results achieved - and its this reason, we request for earliest intake so before cancer gets into progression mode, if we can start on with the protocol, results can be very encouraging. Its only in patients where metastasis is already confirmed or if there are high "free flow radicals" in the body channels, it does takes longer duration intake towards enabling a successful remission, but mother nature certainly rewards perseverance in the end.

Holy Basil (Leaf)

The prime action of Holy Basil (also known as Tulsi) in cancer control comes from its ability to inhibit an enzyme called COX-2 that stimulates an inflammatory response in the body and triggers cancerous activities. Holy basil, by blocking the action of this enzyme, prevents inflammation and reduces pain. The active component of the leaves of Holy Basil, eugenol, inhibits the division and migration of the cancer cells. It also prevents the cancer cells from invading into the surrounding structures and induces apoptosis (the process of programmed cell death).

Additionally, Holy Basil contains several other cancer-fighting phytochemicals including apigenin, rosmarinic acid, luteolin, myretenal, carnosic acid and beta-sitosterol. These compounds stimulate the antioxidant activity and destroy the cancer cells. Holy basil is effective in inhibiting the growth and progression of breast cancer by blocking the cell proliferation. It also prevents angiogenesis, a process by which new blood vessels are formed within the cancer mass. As a result of this, the cancer cells do not get oxygen and nutrition needed for their survival resulting in their death.

Wheatgrass (Leaf) and Tinospora cordifolia (Stem)

Wheatgrass (Leaf) and Tinospora cordifolia (Stem) : Wheatgrass helps in building a strong immune system, and the key to killing cancer cells is oxygen. To lead an aggressive fight against cancer the body needs to produce more oxygen. Wheatgrass contains Chlorophyll, which is considered the "blood of plants". The molecular structure of chlorophyll is similar to that of hemoglobin. Hemoglobin transports oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. Incorporating wheatgrass into the diet will help build and renew blood cells in the body and increase the oxygen available to fight the cancer cells. Chlorophyll and selenium also help build the immunity system. Furthermore, wheatgrass is one of the most alkaline foods known to mankind thus killing "cancer favoring environment".

Role of Giloy in Cancer : Tinospora cordifolia has incredible immune-boosting properties, and its one of the reasons why it is so effective against cancer. A strong immune system is better able to identify any cancerous cells and eliminate them before they have a chance to grown and spread. Tinospora contain a chemical called dichloromethane, which is known to poison and kill cancerous cells. Scientists have also found that Tinospora contain potent cancer-fighting antioxidants such as catalase, glutathione and superoxide dismutase thus enabling in the process of Remission with ease.

Curcumin, a polyphenol extracted from Curcuma longa

Curcumin, a polyphenol extracted from Curcuma longa, has gained attention from scientists worldwide for its biological activities (e.g., antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral), among which its anticancer potential has been the most described. Curcumin has been reported to modulate growth factors, enzymes, transcription factors, kinase, inflammatory cytokines, and proapoptotic (by upregulation) and antiapoptotic (by downregulation) proteins. This polyphenol compound, alone or combined with other agents, could represent an effective drug for cancer therapy.

The inflammation process induces an increased production of pro-inflammatory molecules such as cytokines, ROS, cyclooxygenase (COX-2), transcription factors including nuclear factor κB (NF-κB), protein kinases B (AKT), activator protein 1 (AP1), signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), causing the initiation and development of cancer. Curcumin exerts its immunomodulatory ability by interacting with several immune mediators, hence its anticancer property. Curcumin is also able to interfere with the cell signaling pathway of EGFR, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases, that is reported to be associated with the proliferation, adhesion, migration, and differentiation of cancer cells

Lochenra Rosea (Leaf)

Lochenra Rosea (Leaf) - It discourages angiogenesis and is very pivotal when we have to initiate action on metastatic tendencies.

We shall share here more on tumour growth for your easy reference which we refer as Angiogenesis and its this process by which tumour gains in size and achieves progressive tendencies - Angiogenesis, the process of new blood vessel formation, plays a crucial role in the growth and metastasis of tumors. Tumor growth and progression require angiogenesis because in its absence tumor growth is restricted to a few millimeters in diameter due to the physical constraint set by simple diffusion of nutrients and oxygen. In addition, angiogenesis and vascularization allows metastatic tumor cells to escape into the circulation and lodge in other organs. As a tumor expands, local hypoxic conditions induce a molecular response in tumor cells, leading to the activation of a key transcription factor, the hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF). And the medicinal herbs included here shall discourage metastatic tendencies.

Podophyllum hexandrum (Fruit)

Podophyllum hexandrum (Fruit) - It discourages angiogenesis and is very pivotal when we have to initiate action on metastatic tendencies.

One of the most important natural products are aryltetralin lactone lignans. It has been reported that natural aryltetralin lactone lignans are present in the plants of the families Cupressaceae, Berberidaceae, Apiaceae, Burseraceae, Verbenaceae, etc. New growth in the vascular network is important since the proliferation, as well as metastatic spread, of cancer cells depends on an adequate supply of oxygen and nutrients and the removal of waste products. New blood and lymphatic vessels form through processes called angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis, respectively. Angiogenesis is regulated by both activator and inhibitor molecules. More than a dozen different proteins have been identified as angiogenic activators and inhibitors. Levels of expression of angiogenic factors reflect the aggressiveness of tumor cells. And its intake discourages the spreading tendencies considerably.
